The Shinchonji Wife in Heaven, The Letter From a Prison

The Shinchonji Wife in Heaven, The Letter From a Prison

I am writing from a prison called Detention Center C because I was charged with murder. I met my wife in Seoul in 1980. In spite of an objection from her parents, we got married and had two sons. My family had been happy in Si-Heung city, Kyung-Gi province, although our livelihood was not enough from two incomes. I worked as a driver for a long distance bus and my wife worked as a taxi driver.
Unfortunately, a car accident set our family in debt and as a result, I had to sell our townhouse. Subsequently, we moved to our father-in-law’s house in Ulsan City. My wife attended the church that my brother and his wife went to when we were in Si-Heung city, so she also wanted to continue attending church when she came to Ulsan.

My Wife Fell Into Shinchonji

In 1996, I called my wife and two kids everyday— my family is all that I had— because I could only come home twice a week once I had changed my job to transport business. My wife and I loved each other and were devoted to each other for 27 years (I was 50 at the time). I didn’t know what church she had joined, thinking that all Christian churches were the same. However, my wife had been being brainwashed by the doctrine of the Shinchonji cult.

The Ulsan Church of Andrew was part of the Shinchonji cult! They told my wife it is her most urgent task to study the Shinchonji theology and help fill the church up to 144,000 members because the ‘end time’, in Shinchonji belief, would come in three years and a new heaven would emerge. She shirked her duties as a housewife and became fully engrossed in the Shinchonji bible studies— even dragging my son into it, who was a high school senior at the time. They had been completely brainwashed. To my wife, Lee Man-Hee was Christ, Counselor, and he was the Jesus, the savior who came to Korea. She was nothing but a pawn who acted only by the Shinchonji cult.

I tried to change her church, but she wouldn’t budge an inch so I quit my job. After searching for counselors everywhere, we met a couple counselors from the Shinchonji Heresy Association but it was in vain. One night, John Tribe in Seoul came to me accompanied by police officers and claimed that I confined her. My wife agreed with them and followed the members out with the officers.
The officer said Shinchonji was out of control, he knew that the group was a dangerous cult, but he had to do it because there is the freedom of religion by the law and my wife was an adult. Thereafter, she was handed over to the Andrew tribe and came home again. I knew I couldn’t stop trying to counsel her because I knew Man Hee Lee is not the savior and the second coming of Jesus, so she, her two sisters, and I came to the counselor of ‘D-church’ in Julla-Nam-Do province.

However, she denied the Pastor’s word during counseling. On the way home, she sat down in the middle of road, rolled over and over again, rushed at us crazily, and assaulted us. In spite of that, her two sisters and I persisted to persuade and beg her to continue these counseling sessions. However, on the third day of counseling, my wife ran away from the help of a few members of the Andrew tribe.

She Did Not Come Home

Man Hee Lee, runs the Shinchonji organized criminal group in all nations. Shichonji, which in disguise of the Word of God and is protected by Korean Law, is not a Christian church but it is a cult. They know that families, society, and the spirit of their followers are destroyed by them but they just overlook the issues they cause.

My family moved back to Ulsan but she did not. Our family protested, “The cult should return her to her home” and that “Man Hee Lee is not the Second-Coming Jesus, the immortality is a fraud, return my wife and my mother back to her family” in front of the church of Andrew tribe. We did not stop protesting, even when we were wet from the rain; we shouted “Shinchonji is a cult” and cried. There were a lot of other families who were looking for their family, and additionally, we protested in front of Shinchonji’s churches in Kwa-Cheon, An-San, and Kang-Ju city. We protested for lost sons, daughters, parents, husbands, etc. We looked for her for many years. My sons didn’t understand why their mom had disappeared. Eventually, we reported her lost to the police office, and finally we could meet her by the Shinchonji’s members’ guide.

After all, I told her that I would acknowledge her beliefs if she would come home. However, my wife requested that I become a member of the Shinchonji cult after participating in bible study for 6 months. I learned the Shinchonji doctrine through the free bible study for one month, but I could not go further because I knew all their groundless words were nothing but fraud. I quit attending the bible studies.
As a result, she demanded to divorce me and expressed her desire to never see me again. We could not live any more in her father’s house in which we had been staying, so my sons and I moved out. We continuously searched for her while we slept in cars or massage rooms.
["Return My Daughter Back to Me from Brainwashing."]
She accumulated a lot of debt: private taxi bills, charged to my credit card, and borrowed money from here and there, in order to donate to the cult. It deceived its members to build new headquarter church (Shinchonji Church of Jesus the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony) in the Kwa-Cheon City, known as the Holy Land in Shinchonji belief. I was a defaulter, homeless, and almost bankrupt. We barely managed our livelihood while I was working as a taxi driver. I had struggled to live with her; I could not afford that I lose my wife and sleep in tragedy.

The Shinchonji Wife in Heaven

I could never have imagined that I would want to kill my wife. I had been in front of the Shinchonji Church every day but she avoided me. My younger son who was a freshman in a college gave up his academic work and asked me, “Is it impossible to forget mom?” My older son wandered around and joined a gang, and I had to drink to endure the distressful situation.

The Day Before the Incident. I shouted, “We can’t live without you!” as I begged to my wife for her to come home and take care of her family. I even started to threaten her. In the process of pulling and pushing each other, we began to fight violently. I, drunk and enraged, picked up a car tool in the ground. I didn’t know which part of her body I hit.
She was dispatched to the emergency room, and she went to heaven after 7 days. October, 13, 2007, 2 A.M. my wife ascended to heaven which was not the Shinchonji kingdom that Lee Man Hee and its members would accomplish according to their belief.

Standing on the Gate of Repentance

I am a sinner. My sin was that I loved my wife, I wanted my wife to die, I couldn’t let her go from me, I couldn’t live without her, I lived in her parent’s house, and that I let her fall into the cult because I was too busy with work. I had the realization that there was nothing but tragedy and sadness after love. I cannot stop trembling, thinking that my wife could not come to me again and it was useless waiting for her, and only the sadness that I could not endure rushes like a wave into my mind.

There were no response to what I was crying out, appealing, and praying to the truth. It was the time that, a pain, like a sharpen knife came into my heart, never disappearing but rather repeating over and over again. I had been crazy and angry because of the Shinchonji cult. I was a mess that who others around me could not recognize. There was even a time that I blamed God, who created the universe and exists in our deep life, why HE could not protect my family from Satan, which I thought was unfair. I poured out ill-speaking of myself for my ruined life: I had nothing to lose, I was blind and deaf, my life wasn’t normal, and I blamed myself for even inhaling oxygen in the air.

The indoctrination of the cult is ten times stronger than intoxication of any other drug and or communist system. They can be controlled by law and there are hospitals for drug abusers. But, there are no hospitals for those brainwashed by the cult, rather Korean law protects the cult under the law of freedom of religion. Shinchonji is not a religion, it destroys families. Attending the cult results in members running away from home, dropping out of school, suing family members, neglecting loved ones, giving up on their lives, and committing suicide.
How can Shinchonji claim that 144,000 members will allow the chief priest to return, for new heaven to emerge in East Korea, for them to rule the world? The promise of “new heaven and new earth will be accomplished in three years” has existed for nearly 30 years.

I finally met Jesus Christ after anguish and sadness while I have been standing at the end of my life. Now I am praying for forgiveness. I am a sinner. I am still trying to get out of the remnants of the tragedy. I have been healing through prayer, repentance and forgiveness based on the Word of God. Even in the cold winter and in the hot summer of prison, I endure the punishment that I deserve.
I don’t think that I am old; I am not too week to heal. Even though I still have the sad past in my mind, I don’t think it is God’s will that I remain frustrated, clinging to the past. I will put hope and faith in God’s work because I realized the truth.

["Cult Victims, you can tell now!"]
(Provided by HD Jongkyu)
I think that I can pass through the gate of repentance when I receive forgiveness and am born again. I am confident that the God of Abraham and God of David is my God. I don’t have much academic experience and actually I am fairly ignorant; however, I will be a helper for brothers and sisters, by sharing my experience of suffering in the hell that is the reality of the Shinchonji cult.

Shalom!

Social Issues Associated with Shinchonji

Social Issues Associated with Shinchonji's Virus
The members as direct victims who have been infected from the virus are 150,000, included center's, according to Shinchonji new year report, not knowing they need to be immediately care as a patient, they are eagerly trying to spread the virus to our society as many strange incidents occur with its associated members which include running away from home, quitting work and school, divorce, assault, acts of terror, suicide, murder, arson, stalking, surveillance, sex crime, sex for a recruitment tool, family feud, sue, etc

It is a serious spiritual war against the virus because Shinchonji's catty disturbing and the victims have strongly been indoctrinated into that what they are doing is a God's work due to Man Hee Lee's command, and the invading mainstream churches is to please God. The listed incidents below are a tip of iceberg and most issues are related to a broken family that is a root cause for all kind of issues.

Broken Family: So sad daddy
The dad was crying tears of blood when two of mom ran away to Shinchonji after a religious wrangle with him and the four-year-old was trying to make the two-year-old sleep. “Can it be more important than family even though religion is important? “, “Can it be more important than children? “ “Furthermore, once someone fell into Shinchonji and then forsaken everything” said the sad daddy. “I have questions for Shinchonji saint."
"What is your religion for? for family, for child, or for yourself? My wife said it is for family, she started it for my family. Then she forsaken her family for Shinchonji! Does it make a sense?” "So, can you say, 'the city of truth, beautiful Shinchonji?' Throwing aside family and devoting only SCJ, is this the true belief?", asked the so-sad-daddy

Broken Family: 'F' words to own daughter and granddaughter

In a family situation, all members except a daughter are Shinchonji members, her brother who had sever tuberculosis was sick and unemployed, the mom hasn't been taking care of livelihood - getting worse.
“Mom! get out there (Shinchonji) and throw all books and CDs into a trashcan” asked the daughter. In the smart phone screen, the mom replied "Please don't text me, there is nothing in my sight! " “Son of bitch, fucking”, “if a son of bitch give a birth, it's also a son of bitch” said the mom.

Assault: Three of Shinchonji became ex-convict after the brutal attack on a college student

Three Shinchonji members belong to Matthew tribe in Incheon - Mr. Won Mo (a. 29, pseudonym), Mr. Kim Mo (a. 33, pseudonym) and Mr. Jeong Mo(a. 28, pseudonym) - have assaulted Mr. Lee Jeong-Hwan after he has dropped out of its membership in front of his house at night of 2/5/2013. The court sentenced the two to 6 months in prison with probation for a year and the last to fine of Won 3,500,000.
The newspaper, The Christian Portal News, reported "Shinchonji gave up an appeal to higher court as confirmed its members did it."

Fire accident: the neglected 2 Kids were dead
When mom went to a church - MBC news did not specify the church name but said "It happened yesterday around 9 P.M."-, the apartment was on the fire at around 9 P.M. and Mr. Kim's six-year-old daughter and five-year-old son were suffocated to dead.
Murder: the husband killed his wife arrested
The Munwha in the headline said "The new world comes if Shinchonji members reach to 144000".
The cult's recruitment ended tragically... the fifty's who murdered his wife was arrested.

Mr. Hu Mo (a. 54, pseudonym), a business man, strangled his wife who had persuaded family to join Shinchonji,  it has been prescribed as a cult by mainstream churches, was accused of murder and put on trial. After a big fight about the religion issue, he tried to reconcile with her but his wife rejected it and then he did her out of anger.
According to the written arraignment,  Mr. Hu has been physiologically stressed from his wife who had been continuously tried for her family to be member of Shinchonji because she believed that the end-time is near and her family should get a flesh-immortality before Shinchonji member would reach 144,000 soon.

Continue.. the interview with her two daughters, he is a sweet daddy
"We don't want people to be a victim any more due to Shinchonji and we hope this interview would help other people" said the two sister. They said that this interview is for my daddy and  the couple was lovely and cared for each other well. However, they augured open on religion issue.
Their mom was obsessed to lead her family into 144,000 because it is known to be extremely shameful for Shinchoji's if member could not save their own family according to Lee Man-Hee's sermon. So she frequently said that we have to go to the SCJ, otherwise, we will die. Furthermore, "If you do not join to SCJ, Let me divorce you" said the mom.

Broken Family: One-Woman Protest

"Her children are looking forward to seeing her!"

"Rather, Fire Her!"
Arson in The Busan New Janghak Church - a Shinchonji member arrested
On May 2, 2010, Busan New Janghak church (Rev. Hwang Ue Jong) was burned in a fire and it is turn out that the arsonist was a member of Shinchonji who bore ill will against Rev. Hwang's cult activities.

Busan Sasang police requested a arrest warrant for Mr. Ahn Mo (pseudonym, a.36) in charge of arson and an attempted murder of the pastor couple.

The court sentenced Mr. Ahn Mo to 4 years in prison in charge of arson, attempted murder, damaged property, unlicensed driver, and interference with Government official.
Assault a missionary
Mr. Shin Hyun Wook, ex-SCJ member, he had been for 20 year as a chief of the education in Shincheonji Church of Jesus the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (short, Shinchonji, Sheikh, Lee Man Hee), has been assaulted by unknown 4-5 men and 3 women during counseling.

Mr. Shin said "July 31, 2010, 6 P.M., I was on counseling upon a man's request for his wife who fell in the cult." and "7 bursted into the room and assaulted me." Anyhow, when Mr. Shin got out from the room and called police on his mobile phone, he could stop the malicious acts. Mr. Shin was required for a three-week cure according to a doctor's note.

Mr. Kim Mo (pseudonym) was testifying “I became a member of Shinchonji via ‘sex-propagation’ by a Shinchonji missionary” on November 16, 2013.
The National Association of Countermeasure for Shinchonji (chief counselor Mr. Shin Hyun-Wook) recently opened a news conference and revealed the sex-scandal that widely spread in Shinchonji: Sheikh Lee Man Hee, chiefs of 12 tribes, instructors, and missionaries.
This incident, an unspeakable and shocking story, shows the ethical level of Shinchonji’s teaching “the spiritual obscene act is important but the physical obscene act is not.” Certainly, this will be a good lesson how Shinchonli approaches to social leaders. We pray for Shinchonji members to be freeing from the false doctrines of SCJ, facing up to the reality instead of having a blind belief and obedience, closing their ears and eyes, any more.

Mr. Kim Mo (pseudonym) who was the president of Korean Association in U.S. first met Lee Man Hee, the Sheikh of Shinchonji, at the ‘The Invitation of Oversea Korean Leaders for 4 Big Countries Tour Program;’ in a meeting in the Blue House under the president Lee Myung Bak government. Mr. Kim was introduced to Mrs. Kim Momo (pseudonym), a missionary of Shinchonji Kimpo Temple, from a woman who met him in the meeting. Subsequently, Mr. Kim Mo has been in a hot-romantic relationship with the young missionary for one year and three months. Pretending a devoiced single, Mrs. Kim Momo came to Mr. Kim Mo and she proposed a date to him. At the third date, saying “I like you”, “I would like to see your house”, and “I am a good cook, let’s make a delicious food and eat,” July 10, last year, she visited to the Kayang officetel where he lives alone. On the first day of her visit to the officetel, “Hot!” said she, After she took a shower, he had a sex with her and it has been continuing until October 6, this year.

Attempt Suicide as a girl jumped from 9 floor apartment
The cult survivor is texting to Shinchonji members on her smart phone after recovering in a hospital.
Hello!
I am a Positive Beauty (pseudonym, a. 22, college student). Long time no texting but this will be last one. I will drop out of Shinchonji today. I think that everyone knows how I have been. I knew that Shinchonji was the truth without doubt. I have got caught to I am a member of Shinchonji by my parent. So, as you know, I jumped from 9 floor at the moment of taking me to a counselor for cult and tried to run away from home. I was as
confident as I could jump and try to run away on the faith of Shinchonji, I was who I have been so. There is a clear reason for my decision. 'Shinchonji is not the truth.' Please don't say that my spirit have been changed because I have been with my parent. As a matter of fact, I have been being deceived, of course, you are same. I pray for you that you would live without remorse, please find out what the truth is.

Invasion & Taking over Churches a.k.a. 'Moving the mountain' by Snatchers
Shocking! The claim, ‘Shinchonji, in the middle of moving the mountain of The First Presbyterian Church of Kangbuk’, was raised.
It was claimed that the deacons who took control of The First Presbyterian Church of Kangbuk are the Shinchonji members.
On 21, the Korean Presbyterian Church (KPC) Christian Heresy Research (Chief counselor Hyung Taek Park, Rev.) and Korean Council for Heresy Counseling (Chief counselor Hyun Wook Shin) claimed that Shinchonji is involved in the causes of the greater confusion which The First Presbyterian Church of Kangbuk fell into, far from becoming normalized, after the resignation of Pastor Hyung Taek Hwang. Full story

Scheme of Church-Snatchers for Shinchonji

Scheme of Shinchonji Snatchers for its Propagation
The way of propagation has vigorously been evolving and growing 10,000 members every years since 2001 from 'Free Theological Seminary' scheme and releasing new versions: 'Bokumbang', 'Harvest field and Harvest reaper', 'Transporting the mountain',and 'the disguised church' under names of mainstreams.
Shinchonji was established in 1984 with a little members, about 50. It has been a small cult for 18 years, less than ten thousand until 2001. Lee Man Hee directly held revivals and Revelation seminars in 1980s and 1990s with its doctrines that are the conditional end-time when it reaches 144,000 members, flesh-immortality, and salvation comes from only Lee Man Hee while he published some books: Full Introduction to the Revelation: Eternal Gospel and New Song, The Truth of Revelation: Heavenly Secret, The Truth of the Heaven Book: Secret Revelation. However, these books are anti-Christianity on the sense that Man Hee Lee unjustly compares and interprets his own Temple of Tabernacle activities with the eschatological events.

According to the study, beside Shinchonji, many Korean heretical groups used home visiting, mass revivals, distribution of pamphlets, posters, cultural and sport activities, questionnaires, as its growth strategies. Shinchonji started to develop schemes as new way of recruitment tool in the beginning of 1990s. The first one is the ‘free theological seminary’, advertising Lee Man Hee’s books, so that they could more increase their growth. However, once people realized that the seminaries are not a pure theological seminary but a secret center where runs by Shinchonji and indoctrinates students, the growth was limited, they could not use these words: ‘Shinchonji’, ‘free theological seminary’ and ‘bible study’ in public.

All strategies are based on a lie.
Shincheonji rationalizes telling a lie as “strategy.” Shincheonji encourages its members to tell a lie and even trains its members to cry and to pretend to restore the traditional faith. This is piece of evidence; the below certificate as an official permission of theological seminary school in N.Y. to A New Heaven and New Earth (Shinchonji in Korean) theological school can be found in the one of Lee Man Hee's book called 'Young-Haek' (published 5/31/1996, page 108). In fact, it is a forgery of document since it is easily recognizable, as a sample of stock certificate and modified.

A NEW HEAVEN AND A NEW EARTH THEOLOGICAL SCHOOL INC The Corporation is authorized to issue 200 Common Shares - No Par Value This certifies that _ SPECIMEN _ is the owner of _ fully paid and non - assessable Shares of the above Corporation transferable only on the looks of the Corporation by the holder hereof in person or by duly authorized Attorney upon surrender of this certificate properly endorsed. In Witness Whereof, the said Corporation has caused this certificated to be signed by its duly authorized officer and to be sealed with the seal of the Corporation.

The second scheme was introduced in 2001 was the propagation via ‘Room of the gospel’ a.k.a. ‘Bokumbang’ in Korean that was an upgraded version from the first one, also which is for beginner course of their bible study for two or three months to lead to the full brainwash process, wearing sheep’s clothing – its identities are thoroughly hidden to potential victims using misrepresented names of ex-pastors, missionaries, mainstream churches, general institutions, many volunteer organizations, even chess club, etc until graduating the seminary and becoming a member.

There was a 'Special Warning Statement regarding Non-disclosure of the method of propagation' as shown left picture from Lee Man Hee to chiefs of 12 tribes in SCJ 19 year (that is, 2001) which ordered to the seven chiefs of the education that all associated with the “Harvest Field” strategy including materials is secretly used for only training purpose and that warns that anyone must be fired if the strategy is disclosed.

Shinchonji’s growth from 2001 has been increasing by average 10,000 members every year, blending two existing strategies with new three schemes: ‘Harvest field (editor note: field and mountain refer to mainstream churches)’ means Snatching believers, ‘Transporting/moving the mountain’ means Invading and taking over church by snatcher (“Harvest reaper”) or its special force team, and ‘the disguised church under mainstream churches.’

Right up corner in the left picture, mainstream's logo and name used.
On August 7, 2013, the collaborated investigation team: Mr. Hyun-Wook Shin (Chief counlselor of National Association of Countermeasure for Shinchonji), Rev. Yong-Sik Jin (Chairman of The Cult Countermeasure Association of the Christian of Korea) and the Christian news disclosed in a news conference that 67 disguised churches run by Shinchonji were found.

The fifth scheme, disguised church, was started for endlessly seducing Shinchonji member's family in 2004; because it was very easy to say 'Let's go to a church (any disguised church)' rather than 'Let's go to Shinchonji church' - in most cases, none Shinchonji member strongly poses against SCJ. Furthermore,  it has became to the top first scheme since 2010 as they upgraded deceiving technic: 1) 'Hapdong' Presbyterian mostly used to disguise, 2) forgery of paster certificate and church office document issued by mainstream religious brotherhood, 3) modifying church logo, 4) run a small church as family style as many as 80-150 members, and 4) beside the bible study, hosting hobby and activities clubs, continuing education, and other educational programs for parents.

How to establish a disguised church by Chinchonji (SCJ)
The First
1. A SCJ member who owns a building lends it to a mainstream church
2. Letting the church go without extension of the lease
3. It became a SCJ church naturally
The Second
1. A SCJ instructor become a student in a regular theological seminary
2. The instructor build a church after getting a pastor certificate
The Third
1. A SCJ instructor builds a church first
2. the instructor become a student for a short pastor course in a small or middle religious brotherhood
3. The instructor obtains a pastor certificate
The Fourth
1. Send church-snatchers in a church
2. The snatcher find pastor's all kind of unreasonable and corrupt acts, and caught up to the trap for pastor
3. The snatcher expels the pastor
4. The snatchers take over the church and invite a SCJ pastor

The Doctrinal Schemes of Shincheonji

1) Shinchonji maintains a wrong conditional eschatology that once it reaches the 144,000 membership, its members will unite with God and have an eternal life without bodily death.
2) Shinchonji uses “metaphor theory” to seduce institutionalized church members. “Metaphor theory” of Shinchonji is that without knowing the metaphor of the Bible, one cannot know the secret of the hidden Bible. Thus, once one is seduced by the “metaphor theory”, one is easily moved to the next step. Therefore, it is important not to be seduced by the “metaphor theory” or “parable theory.” It is needless to say that the parable of Matthew chapter 13 does not apply to all Biblical interpretations, but only what Jesus said using parables.
3) The Revelation is used for the last stage of Shinchonji’s seduction.
4) Shinchonji maintains “every Bible verse has pair” based on Isaiah 34: 16, “None of these will be missing, not one will lack her mate.” (Though the recent trend is decreasing using this argument, but still it is reported that many use it.) However, the mate here is not what Shinchonji means as biblical pair, but the mate of animal.
5) The order of the second coming of Jesus Shinchonji argues is Rebellion, destruction, and salvation based in II Thessalonians 2: 1-2. The first rebellion is John the Baptist.
6) Shinchonji maintains that the East is Korea, especially Gwacheon. However, according to its argument, Garden of Eden, (Genesis 2: 8), the site of Babel (Genesis 11: 2) are in Korea, and moreover, Job (Job 1: 3), and the Magi from the East(Matthew 2:1) are also Korean. This kind of Biblical interpretation is ridiculous. < Proviced by Professor. Ku Chon-Suh General Assembly of Presbyterian Church of Korea >

One-man and other protesters warn the disguised church/bible center as an institute
The left sign in the entrance says "Best Plus Institute" and the right says "English Success 100 Institute". A man, the second from right, holds a protest boards, saying "This is the cult Shinchonji, its center where seduces you."  "A woman in middle holds a protest boards, saying "This is JMS, the education center which deceives you."

Shocking! The claim, ‘Shinchonji, in the middle of moving the mountain of The First Presbyterian Church of Kangbuk’, was raised.
Pastor Hyung Taek Park and Chief Counselor Hyun Wook Shin confirmed Shinchonji’s infiltration into The First Presbyterian Church of Kangbuk.

Shinchonji’s deep involvement in the division of The First Presbyterian Church of Kangbuk was confirmed and sent shock waves.

The claim was raised that Shinchonji has deeply infiltrated The First Presbyterian Church of Kangbuk who fell into the greater confusion after Pastor Hyung Taek Hwang resigned, and sent great shock waves.

It was claimed that the deacons who took control of The First Presbyterian Church of Kangbuk are the Shinchonji members
On 21, KPC (the Korean Presbyterian Church) Christian Heresy Research (Chief Counselor Hyung Taek Park, Rev.) and Korean Council for Heresy Counseling (Chief Counselor Hyun Wook Shin) claimed that Shinchonji is involved in the causes of the greater confusion which The First Presbyterian Church of Kangbuk fell into, far from becoming normalized, after the resignation of Pastor Hyung Taek Hwang.

The conflict within The First Presbyterian Church of Kangbuk Church seemed to be settled for the time being as Pastor Hyung Taek Hawang, who is the former pastor, received the judgment last year from Yejang Tonghap General Assembly his nomination as senior pastor and ordination as pastor were invalidated. It is because, with church members who followed Pastor Hyung Taek Hwang being expelled from The First Presbyterian Church of Kangbuk and gathering separately in Kwangya Church, The First Presbyterian Church of Kangbuk was left in the situation where she was on course for normalization by installing the interim session chairperson and nominating the senior pastor.

However, it is argued that The First Presbyterian Church of Kangbuk began to fall into greater confusion from that moment.

Deacon A of Kangbujeil Church claimed, “About 50 people, including deacons H and Y, physically took control of session at the end of last December”, and “They not only refused the entry of the interim session chairperson, who was dispatched by Pyongyang Presbytery on last June, into the church building but also took control of the church by using violence against the opposing forces, and all the normal functions of the church have been paralyzed since then.”

Deacon A said, “Last year, this group of people tried to carry through the plan to organize the church as their own will, but as the interim session chairperson and session members didn’t accept, they created a disturbance with pre-collected forces and took over all the authority”, and “they attacked and dragged the interim session chairperson who was dispatched by Pyongyang Presbytery out of the church, and tried to nominate the senior pastor illegally without nominating committee members who are opposing them.”

Shinchonji ‘devouring the whole church’, is it applied even to the mega churches?
KPC Christian Heresy Research and Korean Council for Heresy Counseling disclosed that the behaviors of these people are the typical tricks of Shinchonji’s propagation strategy, called ‘moving the mountain’. According to both institutes, the investigation with pictures and videos of them identified that they are the key figures of Shinchonji.

Chief Counselor Hyun Wook Shin said, “H and Y, who are the key figures currently holding The First Presbyterian Church of Kangbuk, were identified as the active members of Shinchonjii’s Seoul James tribe,” and “Although about thirty people among those who illegally took over the church turned out to be the members of Shinchonjii, it is impossible to identify the number of all the harvesters who have infiltrated the church.” Seoul James tribe is the one which has competence over Nowon-Gu, Sungbuk-Gu, Kangbuk-Gu, and Uijeongbu area.

Chief Counselor Shin said, “In the process of counseling the people having fallen into Shinchonji, I was told many times that Seoul James tribe dispatched lots of harvesters to The First Presbyterian Church of Kangbuk Church and recently, there was an open rumor that Shinchonji took over The First Presbyterian Church of Kangbuk Church,”and “After checking the video and pictures of H and Y with several cult survivors, they were certainly confirmed to be the active members of Shinchonji.”

If the statements made on that day are true, it seems that Shinchonji’s ‘devouring the whole church’ operation, called ‘moving the mountain’, which has been conducted in some small churches or provinces, is being waged even in mega churches, which may shock greatly the Korean churches.

Pastor Hyung Taek Park said, “The incident of The First Presbyterian Church of Kangbuk can confirm that Shichonji’s atrocities of moving the mountain, which has been committed against the small churches in the meantime, are attempted in the mega churches,” emphasizing “Now is the time in dire need of attention and cooperation from Korean Churches as well as the General Assembly of PCK(the Presbyterian Church of Korea) to eradicate a group of Shinchonji members from The First Presbyterian Church of Kangbuk, including H.”

If it turns out to be true that Shinchonji is deeply involved with the continuing conflict within The First Presbyterian Church of Kangbuk even after resignation of Pastor Hyung Taek Hwang, denominational active action and believers’ awakening will be urgently needed.

About Mannam Volunteer Association with Shinchonji

About "Mannam" as a front for the Shinchonji cult

Mannam is not a pure volunteer organization but a facade. Mannam's event are used to draw more Shinchonji (SCJ) members into recruitment.

Matthew 24:4 Watch out that no one deceives you!

Mannam Volunteer Association was established in 2003. As of 2013, Mannam’s has reached about 80,000 members worldwide and are growing. Its headquarter is located in Seoul, with about 100 other branches in Korea. Other global branches are located in: Boston, Los Angeles, London, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, India, and Cape Town South Africa. However, Mannam and its branches are approaching people in disguise of a pure volunteer organization in order to recruit new Shinchoji members. Kim, Nam-Hee, the second reader of Shinchonji, is the chairwoman of Mannam. Also the cult Shinchonji and Mannam co-host World Peace Festival every four years and organize other events together as well.

Main activities performed by Mannam.
1) SCJ members, even members who ran away from home and divorced their spouses, participate in all Mannam’s events.
2) Mannam branches seize power of a public institutions and trick people into becoming involved in their bible study in order to brainwash people during various events in public
3) Mannam leads people who come to its events to the Shinchonji cult's bible studies.
4) Mannam often misrepresents names of mainstream churches, usually Presbyterian, to recruit foreigners.

Choi Ok-Sub, the second from left, chairman of Baekto Culture Association in Kunsan city, who allegedly appointed Shinchonji members in main positions of the association, with the members holds the placard, saying "Shinchonji Peace Independence Day 144,000 Complete Year", "Unity Meeting for Baekto Culture Art Institute", " Date: January, 11 - 12, SCJ year 30 [**]".

Websites/Blogs to Lure Potential Victims
1) Waygook is a community forum for teaching, traveling, and learning to mainly South Korea, and EFL/ESL teachers and Mannam blog are most used.
2) AsiaPundit is a mate website, as it says “Find a Wife From Asia” in the home page.
3) Mannam Korean Class is a blog in the Wordpress.com.
4) Students Gone Global is a social community for student travelers all over world.
5) There are some cotroversial websites: for Shinchonji and Mannam.

* The name “Mannam” is combined by one from the middle letter (“Man”) of Lee Man Hee, who is Sheikh of the cult Shinchonji, and the other from the middle letter (“Nam”) of Kim Nam Hee, who was a female member of Shinchonji. Mannam's slogan, "When light meets light, there is victory!", also is made from three meanings: one is “Meet” from “Mannam” in Korean, another is “Light” from “Hee”. in Chinese, and the other is "Victory" from "Lee-Kim" in Korean.

**   Shinchonji has its own calendar year, not use B.C. and A.D. The start year is the established year of Shinchonji, 1984,  for example, 2013 is Shinchonji 30 year.
